Project overview
The 12-person Darbandsar cable car project was constructed in 2011 at the request of Tele-Siege Papa Company with the aim of expanding the ski resort and upgrading it to an international level. The design of the line, stations, and related facilities, as well as the execution, installation, and commissioning, were carried out by Telecabin Iran Company, with the supreme supervision of Leitner Italy, at the Darbandsar International Ski Resort. It was put into operation in 2014.
This cable car is hydraulic and has two stations with welfare facilities. The origin station is located at an altitude of 2644 meters above sea level, and the destination station is at an altitude of 3331 meters above sea level.
The Darbandsar cable car has 12-person cabins and a speed of 5 meters per second, and it can transport 2200 passengers per hour.
Other projects that have been constructed at this resort by Telecabin Iran Company since the early days of the Darbandsar Ski Resort’s operation include the following:
1- Site surveying and collaboration in the construction of the first chairlift (two-person) at the Darbandsar Ski Resort in 1983.
2- Design, execution, installation, and commissioning of a four-person chairlift with a capacity of 700 people per hour in 2004.
3- Design, execution, installation, and commissioning of a ski lift in 2005.
4- Design, execution, as well as assembly and manufacturing of machinery, equipment, and stations, and installation and commissioning of a four-person chairlift (Ghaleh chairlift) with a capacity of 700 people per hour in 2014.
5- Design, execution, installation, and commissioning of the first snowmaking system in the country, equipped with a 1000 cubic meter concrete reservoir and a fully automatic control room with a monitoring system from the manufacturer of the snowmaking equipment and machinery (TechnoAlpin Company).
